Your data.

This is the practical guide: where each control is and what it does. The Privacy Policy is the full account of what Grayy collects and who handles it.

What Grayy keeps

You can see and change your profile at any time on your profile.

What Grayy learns from

Personalization has a switch for each thing Grayy may learn from: your reading activity, your highlights and your notes. Reading activity starts on. Highlights and notes start off, because they are your own words about a text. A source that is switched off is not used.

What Grayy has inferred is open to you. What Grayy has learned lists each suggestion with the reason for it, and you can accept it, correct it or dismiss it. To remove all of it at once, use Learned profile in Privacy and data. Your Reads, notes, highlights and the preferences you entered yourself stay.

Get a copy

Export your data in Privacy and data collects your profile, Reads, progress, notes and highlights into one JSON file and downloads it. Keep the page open while it works. The file holds your private notes, so store it somewhere safe.

Delete your account

Delete your account in Privacy and data shows what will be removed and asks you to type your account email address (or DELETE if your account has no email) and confirm that this cannot be undone. Confirming removes your sign-in and starts erasure of your profile, Reads, Series, drafts, briefs, notes, highlights and progress. Saved content is erased asynchronously; signing out does not mean that erasure has finished.

If in-app deletion is not enabled or its service is unavailable, the same page tells you so without submitting a deletion request. Use Check again to retry availability. An unconfirmed request or lost connection is not proof that nothing was changed; reload to check your sign-in before trying again.

What stays on your device

A few things are kept in your browser and not on Grayy’s servers: your accessibility choices, any Reads you downloaded for offline reading, and a report you wrote while offline that is waiting to be sent. Signing out removes the downloads and anything waiting to be sent.
