Terms of Service
The terms for reading with Grayy.
Effective 5 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Grayy (“we”) for using the Grayy website and service. By creating an account or using Grayy you accept them, together with the Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with your data.
1. Who can use Grayy
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into this agreement. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
2. What Grayy is
Grayy produces long-form reads written by AI models from a library of books, papers and case studies, shaped to a profile you control. Grayy is in open beta: features change, reads take time to write, and each plan has a monthly limit. A free account can have one read written each calendar month, and the conversation that shapes a read has its own monthly limit.
3. AI-written content and its limits
Everything Grayy writes is generated by AI. It cites the passages it drew on and it checks its own work, but it can still be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Grayy is not medical, legal, financial or other professional advice, and you should not rely on it as such. Verify anything you would act on.
Grayy is not a crisis or emergency service. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, contact local emergency services or a crisis line; Grayy will point you to them and will not treat what you said as a topic.
4. Your content
Your notes, highlights and conversation are yours. You give us permission to store and process them to run Grayy for you, as the Privacy Policy describes, and nothing more. Do not put into Grayy anything you do not have the right to share.
5. Grayy’s content
The reads Grayy generates for you are for your personal use. You may keep, quote and share passages, with the understanding that they are AI-written and that the underlying sources belong to their authors and publishers. You may not resell Grayy’s output, present it as your own original research, or use it to build a competing service.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not try to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer Grayy or its models.
- Do not use Grayy to produce content that is illegal, hateful, or intended to harm someone.
- Do not share your account, use another person’s account, or create several accounts to get around a plan’s limits.
- Do not try to extract, override or manipulate the instructions given to the models.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
7. Fees, trials and subscriptions
Grayy is free during the open beta, within the monthly limits above. If we introduce paid plans, the following will apply and this section will be updated before the first charge:
- The price and billing period are shown before you pay.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel, and we say so at the point of purchase.
- You can cancel at any time, in no more steps than it took to subscribe. Cancelling stops the next charge; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
- If a plan starts with a free trial, we remind you by email before it converts to a paid plan and tell you the amount you will be charged.
- If you are charged in error, write to us and we will correct it or refund it promptly.
8. Ending the agreement
You can have your account deleted at any time by writing to us; that removes your data as the Privacy Policy describes. We may end or suspend the service, or your access to it, with reasonable notice where we can give it, and immediately if you break these terms.
9. Disclaimers and liability
Grayy is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for anything arising from Grayy is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or, if you paid nothing, to nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. We will try to resolve any dispute with you directly first; write to us before taking any other step.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. When a change matters, we will update the date above and tell you inside Grayy before it takes effect. Continuing to use Grayy after that means you accept the change.
