The plans differ in how much Grayy writes and answers each month, not in what it can do. Every account gets the whole app.

  1. Reads written for you

    Ask about anything. Grayy plans a book-length read around your question and what you already know, then writes it chapter by chapter.

  2. Sources you can check

    Claims are cited to the passages they come from, and each source is listed with its chapter. A chapter that fails its checks is not delivered.

  3. A reader made for it

    Highlights in colour, notes on any passage, chapters a tap away, and Look up for any word.

  4. Ask while you read

    Select a passage to ask about it, have it simplified, or go deeper, without leaving the page.

  5. Series

    Plan a path of reads that build on one another, and change its direction as you go.

  6. Your library, offline too

    Search everything you have read by keyword or by meaning, and download reads to finish on a plane.

Before you pay

How Grayy Pro is billed, in short. The Terms of Service have the rest, and Your monthly allowance explains what counts as a read or a question.

How do I pay?

By card, at a secure checkout. Grayy never sees your card number. Receipts come by email, and you can change your card or cancel from Settings → Plan.

How does billing work?

Grayy Pro is a monthly subscription. You pay $12 when you subscribe, and it renews automatically each month until you cancel. Checkout shows the total, with any tax, before you pay.

Can I cancel?

Yes, at any time, from Settings → Plan. Cancelling stops the next payment. You keep Grayy Pro until the end of the month you’ve paid for, and then your account goes back to Free.

What if a read can’t be finished?

It doesn’t count against your reads, and you can try again or change the question. Up to 3 reads a month can end unfinished for each read in your plan; Your monthly allowance has the details.

What happens to reads I don’t use?

They don’t carry over. Allowances start again on the 1st of each month (UTC), on both plans, whatever day you subscribed.

What counts as a question?

Each question you put to Ask Grayy while reading, each message you send in Create a Read’s chat, and each search by meaning in your library, which counts once however large your library is. All three come out of the same monthly allowance. Searching Discover and searching your library by keyword don’t use it.

What happens to my reads if I stop paying?

They stay in your library, with your highlights, notes and progress. Your account goes back to Free, so you can keep reading everything you have; new reads and questions follow the Free allowance.

Will the price change?

$12 is the open-beta price; Grayy Pro’s regular price is $20. If the price you pay is going to change, we’ll email you at least 30 days before it does, and you can cancel before then.
